RE: Barack
You were quite creative and political, yet incomplete, in your decision to select Barack Obama to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. The committee missed the most important part of Barack Obama -- the American people and the democratic process.
The American people knew they were breaking an historic barrier between people who have deep color and the people who are lighter-skinned. Also, they went to vote for a man who was open to change, which he had explained in many ways throughout the election process and throughout his brief history. He wants to engage all people no matter what their backgrounds, creeds or ideologies. For some unknown reason, it seemed to the electorate that he had a corner on the way, the truth and the light.
So, you missed a chance to lift up an entire nation of people who struggle to do what is right and fair and just. Of course, your decision is your decision. You have an historic legacy and an unique sovereignty to shake up the world and that is what you did.
